Favorite ad of the night…

This year really didn’t have any super stand-out ads, but this one made me totally laugh out loud…

The frame shown above was it. Funnier still was I didn’t get the joke right away. In fact, I didn’t even remember who the ad was for until I searched for the ads later.

Second place would have to go to Audi for totally making fun of Twilight…

None of the other ads really stood out in my mind.

I suppose the Jerry Sienfeld and Matthew Broderick ads were funny, but they would have stood out more if I hadn’t seen them before the game.

OMG! I wonder if this guy is psychic!

DorkTower had a great comic today!

I loved the combination of Doctor Who, Sherlock, and the latest craze, Downton Abbey. That had to hit home with pretty much their entire fan-base. :)

Thanks guys!

Joy of Tech Hits The Nail On The Head Again!

JoT thumb

These guys are just gods when it comes to hitting the nail on the head with Apple humor. Once again, they show pretty much exactly what goes on at Apple blogging sites to keep the buzz up and the hits up on their blogs.

The Joy of Tech comic is the only comic I have read for what seems like forever. I have read a bunch of web comics over the years, but I have stuck with Joy of Tech while others have come and gone.

Today’s:

The Joy of Tech comic TM

is the absolute epitome of rumor mongering for pretty much all the Apple blogs out there. I know that now that Apple has announced the new iPad, every Apple blog out there will have to tell us about it. In glorious, magical detail!

Thanks GeekCulture.com for such a great comic!

Best ‘Joy Of Tech’ Yet!

This has to be the best “The Joy of Tech” comic that the guys over at GeekCulture.com have ever done!

Absolutely Hilarious!

The Joy Of Tech Does It Again!

Once again, The Joy Of Tech has “hit the nail on the head” when it comes to Apple zealots. I don’t consider myself one of these zealots because I don’t read every little rumor piece and try to speculate what it all means.

In the run up to the iPad’s announcement. Everyone and their brother was speculating that there would be a “true” Mac Tablet. Boy were they ever wrong. However, they still feel a Mac Tablet is in Apple’s future.

So now all this noise about Jobs and Schmidt talking… So sad really.

Still, here is the comic panel for [Today's The Joy Of Tech](http://www.geekculture.com/joyoftech/joyarchives/1372.html):

The Joy Of Tech Hit The Nail Right On The Head!

Today’s “The Joy Of Tech” hit the whole rumor/speculation/hype thing perfectly on the head! I couldn’t have said it better myself!

Thanks ‘Joy of Tech‘ guys, your humor always makes my day!

Sometimes, You Just Have To Laugh At SPAM

spam.png

Sometimes you just can’t help but laugh at how totally obvious SPAM can be. I got this one today, and it totally cracked me up.

I blurred out the “Reply-To” email address, because that’s probably a real person’s email address and I really don’t want to have anyone else bothering them. The rest of the email addresses are fair game in my opinion.

spammessage.png

Either this SPAMmer is 4 years old, not an English speaking/writing human, or just completely clueless. Either way, the inconsistent spelling of lawyer, the attached file named “safe_mail.txt”, the name of the contact vrs. the email address of the contact, punctuation, etc… It all just makes me laugh.

I just hope and prey that in this day and age, that people are not falling for these kinds of SPAM. Mind you, most decent, even average SPAM filters can handle this kind of SPAM so that the end user won’t see them. Still, please do us all a favor, don’t open attachments in email, at all.

If you are sending someone pictures, use flickr.com or any of the many other picture sharing sites. If you are sending a text file or even some binary data, there are plenty of sites that will let you store the file on their server for a short period of time so that your recipient has time to get an email with a link to the file to download from that server. yousendit.com and transferbigfiles.com are just a couple I found with a quick search on Google.

So, just sit back and enjoy some of the SPAM you get on a regular basis.
